I think the loss of habitat is the main problem rather than over harvesting/exploiting in this case (of หล่องดุ).

To put it another way

"...ป่าชื้น หายาก และไม่ค่อยมีแล้ว..."

We hear about smokes covering cities in the North. The smakes are from burning of "rain forests" (ป่าชื้น)

and of course rain forests become "...หายาก และไม่ค่อยมีแล้ว...".

We have to be serious about ensuring natural growth of rain forests (not human versions of rain forests).
