We know, predicting weathers well ahead of time is still a 'black art'. We have experienced extreme weathers all over the world recently. There are more intense rains, higher tides, stronger storms and "strange" weather events. Yes, it is better safe than sorry.
People individually will try to protect their lives and their properties the best way they can. Doing so may create more chaotic conditions and more severe danger for other people nearby or down-stream. Higher level management to provide safety and protection of lives and properties in much wider areas would be more economical and more effective. This is the task for กยน to draw on experts and draw up solutions for government to implement.
I really wish that government would show and explain a plan to manage future floods (and droughts) so that we may trust their words again. The mere "เอาอยู่" is not good enough anymore.
