It is not clear that this rule applies to non-muslims living in the same community.

It may even suggest that this rule only applies among muslims, but not for muslims to forgive or tolerate non-muslims (within the same comunity).

I am a buddhist. I tolerate muslims' calls to pray 5 times a day every day.
