The Bank of Thailand Museum, Bangkhunprom Palace

The Bank of Thailand Museum has exhibited the history and evolution of banknotes in Thailand and the role of the central bank, as well as the history of Bangkhunprom Palace. We take a journey back to “ Suvarnabhumi ” , the golden land of properity and trade of the prehistoric age. The Thai Banknotes Room features the evolution of Thai banknotes,from the earliest from of paper currency know as “ mai ” issued during the reign of King Rama IV, to the first banknotes issued in Thailand during the reign of king Rama V, up to the present day.

These included the final attire worn by the Prince on the date of his passing , a cloisonné gold clip bearing the royal insignia , and hand-written musical compositions. พิพิธภัณฑ์ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย ได้จัดแสดงเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับเงินตรา ประวัติสาสตร์และบทบาทหน้าที่ธนาคารกลางของประเทศ ตลอดจนเรื่องราวของวังบางขุนพรม เพื่อให้ความรู้แก่ผู้เรียนทั้งการศึกษาและการศึกษานอกระบบ และการศึกษาตามอัธยาศัย

นอกจากนี้ยังมีสิ่งของจัดแสดงที่ทรงคุณค่า เช่น ฉลองพระองค์ชุดสุดท้าย แหนบบริพัตร เครื่องมุกส่วนพระองค์โน้ตเพลงลายพระหัตถ์ และมีคอมพิวเตอร์สำหรับสืบค้นข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสมเด็จเจ้าฟ้าฯ กรมพระนครสวรรค์วรพินิต
