One underlying "belief" in human culture is that
"We (human) can do better (than others -- even better than Nature).
Our technologies are developed with this belief. We call it "Optimisation" (for our objectives -- atta).
Nature works in much more unbiased (more just -- not really random) ways (for all things -- anatta).
Perhaps, we need to see and understand that "We do not need to get the best for ourselves" but
"We should make the best for all". Yes, a very difficult undertaking -- we don't know enough of "everything" ;-)
Can we blame people for doing things to make themselves better (than other people)?
Can we blame a girl for trying to look prettier (than her friends)?
Can we blame a shop for making more profit (than other shops)?
Can we blame a teacher for telling "more truth" (than other teachers)?
...
Surely, we cannot answer these questions without a lot of 'ummh ahhh' and looking inside ourselves. ;-)
By writing this, trying hard as we can be, we are telling people "my idea is possibly better (than other ideas)" ;-)
