I have heard that somewhere in Thailand, an education experiment (pilot project?) using Finland model was run and apparently the comments on the result were not encouraging.

Do we have more details on the experiment (with/without identity data) that can be shared publicly?

NB: I think the Finland model is based on 'quality teachers'; relying on normal class time study; minimal homework and minimal examination pressure. In comparison, current Thailand model is based on extra study time; make-or-break pressure from school and parents; winning in examinations is important for career and future life; much the same as the model in Korea, Singapore, China and Japan.

Statistically, Finland has a high rate of suicides. So it is not all rosy for Finland either.
