Yes, it is more comfortable among like-minded friends or people who agree with whatever we say and do. (In facts they may not care one bit what we do or say.) But, we can learn from opposing views. We can definitely learn by extending our 'senses' to include others' senses (and reasons). Someone once said 'no one know our weaknesses better than our enemies'. (Because, they spend time and effort learning and acting to hurt us.)

Take heed of 'flatters' (or those who try to flatten us), but ignore 'flatteries' (or those with sugar-coated tongues).
