I don't remember my first step on my own two legs. It must have been earth-shattering to experience 'mobility' -- breaking free from the floor. Today, I wonder why I cannot remember the first time I walked. Why can't I remember the very moment I managed to make 50+ muscles, nerves and senses work together in moving my body forward -- toward many new worlds I had never gone before?
