I think there are a few typos in the blog. For example 'syllabus' should be 'syllable' ;-)

[syllabus: noun, an integrated course of academic studies

Syllable: noun, 1. An elementary sound, or a combination of elementary sounds, uttered together, or with a single effort or impulse of the voice, and constituting a word or a part of a word. ...]

Out of curiosity, may I ask who are your intended audience? Primary students could find better things to do than roting the 'rules' for English pronunciation. Primary English Teachers, should already be giving 'correct' pronunciation for most simple English words already. And students should also be learning by mimicking their teacher's sounds. If this is not happening, shouldn't we be looking at ways to make English pronunciation easier? For example, should we train teachers in 'phonetics' like how to read:

syllable as \Syl"la*ble\, \ซีล "ลา *เบิล\ [syl ซีล อ่านว่า ซี เล่อ ออกเสียง ซี ชัด เสียง เล่อ เบา -- เอา ลิ้นแตะเหงือกหลังฟันหน้า แล้วดันเลียง เล่อ ...] ...?

NB. Modern English dictionaries are on the Internet and they also have a button (a speaker icon) to click to hear what words sound like. There is a free version of Wordweb dictionary (for Windows) that speaks words out offline.
