In my point of view, LO is rather new for Thai management philosophy. To genuinely understand it is not easy. To implement it will take a big leap. And to succeed means great, great efforts. I think the first key to be there is that the share holders must sincerely commit themselves to the concept.
1. Cross Functional Team: So far, TCRB has had several “Steering Sub Committees”.
By your definition, I presume they literally are “Cross Functional Teams” of which members are collected from different departments/skills to serve certain objectives. But what we have been doing is rather on “have to do” basis rather than “what we should carry on wholeheartedly”. Your course endorses such committees. From now on we will be much more confident in what we are doing, thus, this is what to be praised.
2. Informality Capital: Musics are undeniably loved by the vast majority of human beings. We have our own 2 corporate songs of which we are proud since we made it (the first song), and are making it (the second one) totally, and absolutely “in-house”. Those songs serve to enhance our corporate shared values campaign. Such in-house productions have involved music loving people from everywhere in our organization. Thus, spontaneously, informal relationships have been amicably created. A bunch of thanks to you again for ensuring that we are on the right track.
Among things I learned from the session, one of my favorites is “LO is the target, not a tool.” Wow !!
