My apology for typing in Eng. I cant type Thai so well. It is interesting to see how story is told over the years. My understanding was that Kosapan's trip to France was on board French's ship, not Chinese style junk boat. I was also told that while Kosapan was in France, he indeed waited for quite sometime before he was granted presence with Fresnch KIng, Louis the 14th, however instead of siting and waiting for 15 days, he was very well taken care of and was on many trips to see French country side, attended many welcome receptions hosted by French "Hi-So" .
I am not writing this to contradict Beeman, just want to raise an awareness that when trying to understand what happened in history, one must be mindful ofr from whom the information is given.
It is facinating to see countless of versions of history being told. Have fun reading, one thing we all can agree on is history is worth the research and is most valuable for all generations who care to learn.
Best regards,
O
