Lord Buddha, formerly known as Siddhartha, was the son of King Suddhodana and Queen Sirimahamaya. Of Kapilavastu, Sakka region, he was born in the Sakyan family, the family of Gotama, was born on the fifteenth day of the waxing moon of the 6th lunar month (Visakha month) in the year of the Dog, 80 years before the Buddhist era, at Lumphini Park. which is located between Kapilavastu, Sakka and Devada, Koliya (present-day Rumminde Sub-district, Nepal).
