(บันทึก)...แสงตะวัน กับ สายตา....

แสงตะวัน...กำลังโผล่  บน..ยอดไม้..
ในยามค่ำคืน  ที่ผ่านมา..เสียงไม้หล่นและ..เสียง..อึดอัดดิ้นรน ดัง  มาจาก เล้าไก้...

จะมีใครไม่ได้..นอกจาก..เจ้า..ตัวนี้..

ตัวแล้วตัวเล่า...จาก..เล้าไก่  อาหาร  ที่โปรดปราน...

สายตานี้  ไม่มีแวว....ว่าจะดุร้าย  ..หากทว่า  หิวโหย...นี่กัด

เจ้านี่กัดแน่นไม่ยอมปล่อย..มันส่งสายตา..

ต้องกินขี้สามตุ่ม..กินน้ำ  สามโอ่ง มันถึงปล่อยปาก...ตุ๊กแกๆๆ

แสงแดด  สายตา..บนยอดไม้..บนกลางดิน

Pythons are very common in Down-under coastal areas. We are visited by pythons several times each year. They come for ‘food’ (that includes any small animals: rats, chickens, ducks, birds, frogs, lizards,.. and eggs). Apart from being meat-eaters, pythons are quite amicable. They will tolerate being touched, tugged, pulled and ushered into bags or cages. Provided that they are ‘not roughly handled’. (The same goes for most people as long as they are not ‘roughly handled’ – as we are seeing in ‘Black lives matter’ protests [on TV].)

• We also have ‘Tokay’ geckos in our feed shed. They are happy to hide and catch insects and caterpillars (at our place). We have had no issue with them whatsoever. As for the (age old Thai) myth that they can hang on to us until a thunder strikes, I would it is all a ploy to keep children away from harming them.

• In the same way we say about ‘turtles’ (that they can bite and not let go). We have raised turtles and we can say this. Turtles are gentle and inquisitive animals. They eat meats as well as fruits and vegetables. (So please, please don’t just give them ‘kang kong’ [ผักบุ้ง] to eat. They also like prawns, bits of fresh chicken/meats, cooked eggs, mosquito larvae or wrigglies [ลูกน้ำ], worms,…)

• Our ecosystem is breaking down without our animals. Please leave them alone.
