An example of innovation process from the bottom-up

His idea get evaluated very quickly by several view points. Though the idea in question is not good but the idea that he should have it evaluated is GREAT. He can now kill that design, move on to other ideas and live again rather keeping on that idea, spend time and resources and find much much later that the idea is no good.

เป็นไอเดียพลังงานที่ห่วยแตกที่สุดเท่าที่ผมเคยได้ยิน (หรือได้คิด) ....แต่ทำให้ผมคิดถึงอดีตตอนเป็น นนร. ปี ๔ ...เรียนเรื่องเครื่องยนต์ การเผาไหม้...แล้วผมคิดว่า ทำไมเราไม่เอาควันเสีย ไปผ่านกระบวนการทางเคมี ย้อนกลับมาเป็นน้ำมัน แล้วเอานำมันมาเข้าเครื่องยนต์....ถ้าเราทำได้รถยนต์ก็ไม่ต้องเติมน้ำมัน........................ต่อมา.ผมก็คิดวิธีให้น้ำไหลตกลงมาจากtankในที่สูง ปล่อยให้มันกระทบกังหัน ปั่นไฟออกมาใช้ ขณะเดียวกัน พื้นที่ด้านบนของtank จะเกิด vaccum ..เราก็ใช้ vac นี้ดูดน้ำจากสระขึ้นไปบนถัง ...วนเวียนแบบนี้ไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด ก็ได้พลังงานไฟฟ้ามาใช้ฟรี

ขนาดแก่ปานนี้แล้วผมยังไม่วายคิดหาทางสร้าง perpetaul machine อยู่ครับ มันอาจเป็นไปได้สักวัน

ปัจจุบันนี้มีการจดสิทธิบัตร perpetual machine ที่ violate กฎข้อที่สองของthermodynamic หลายร้อยฉบับครับ ใคร "ทำ" ได้จริงเป็นจ้าวแรก โนเบลรออยู่....

เรื่องพลังงานแบบในรูปนี้ของ "คนไทย" ผมเจอมามาก จากกการเป็นกก.ประเมินสิ่งประดิษฐ์ของกระทรววงวิทย์...ร้อยทั้งร้อย..ไม่สามารถพิสูจน์ได้

แต่..ก็สนับสนุนการคิดครับ.....ผมเองยังคิดเลย อิอิ

ท่าน sr ครับ ข้อด้อยของวิธี เว็บพิจารณ์ แบบนี้คือ มันจะมีแต่ "ของห่วยๆ" เข้ามาให้วิจารณ์ ส่วนของดีๆ นั้นผู้คิดเขาไม่เอาขึ้นมาหรอกครับ เพราะถ้าขึ้นมาก็จดสิทธิบัตรไม่ได้แล้ว .....สำหรับผม จะพยายามเอา "ของห่วยๆ" ของผมขึ้นมาเป็นระยะๆ ...ของห่วยของผมพวกนี้เชื่อว่าจดสิทธิบัตรทั่วโลกได้หมด ...แต่ไม่อยากเก็บไว้กับตัว กลัวจะตายเสียก่อน.เลยจะขอฝากไว้ ......เช่นเรื่อง เครื่องผสมอากาศในบ่อเลี้ยงสัตว์น้ำที่ผมโพสต์.....ยังไม่เห็นมีใครวิจารณ์ว่าดี หรือ เสีย หรือให้ดอกไม้เลย อิอิ (เรื่องนี้ถ้าผมจดสิทธิบัตรทั่วโลก ก็คงรวยเละแล้วแหละ แต่พอเอามาโพสต์แบบนี้ก็หมดสิทธิ์จด )

I am not keen in mechanical knowledge ( The last physics and math class 10 years ago). Anyway, I interested in the way they evaluate others' idea. I found the opinions there focus give useful answers because focus on " will it work/doable and why?" without refer to person or judgmental sentence ( great, so so, good, bad ).

Let me repeat my intention for sharing this post on an idea. I want to show that we can get our idea evaluated very quickly by many people (not all of them are our friends or supporters). From their comments and 'points', we can evaluate the idea ourselves and make a decision.

We may remember how we make any decision (using what we know or have experienced, by copying a similar situation, by asking experts, friends and 'the public', by logical reasoning and when all else failed we 'toss a coin' ;-)

I was careful to talk about evaluating "idea" (not idea originator) and the result only applies to "the idea" (not other ideas from the same orifinator or not -- this is Galamasutta). I also wanted to be a little vague to hint the possibility of transferring some ideas across to other areas (eg. from engineering to health care). I think we can see that some ideas may be "bad" in one area but "good" in other areas (for example "rice cookers" are good in suburban houses, but bad in -no electricity- rural huts and wheat-eater settlements).

 

And yes public evaluation dies have it bad points. Ideas publicly debated are "in public" and deened to be published by most patent offices hence not accepted for a patent application. Idea owners' initial evaluation becomes important and idea owners must pay all cost to privately and secretly evaluate the idea.

ทำไทยทำ can give a solution to this dilemma by providing evaluation procedures and/or other assistance privately. Please, email me if you are interested in becoming evaluator panel members. Work and rewards will be discussed privately. We may discuss some issues here or in places in "links" below.

I think ASEAN would come up with a "minimum standard" (or quality specification) that certain products (both goods and services) "must pass in tests" by a joint office for ASEAN standards. We can expected that most standards will be copied from or similar to US or EU standards.

On agricultural produce and products, I think cultural differences would make "quality" an important issue. Good, clean (free of chemicals and other diseases) and fresh will always command high prices -- anywhere in the world. Perhaps, some growers should aim to sell in 'very high quality" areas as well as in normal markets.

I do think sooner or later there will be strong need for innovation in the health care sector. For examples, with ASEAN we will need multi-language, multi-culture, and high-tolerance staff for communication at reception, during treatment and follow-up. We will need to deal with ASEAN time zones. We may need to provide ASEAN food facility.

These can be anticipated and planned now. I am hoping that a group of people like ทำไทยทำ can be a part of that future making. It would be far better to have one specialized group working in consultation with health care organizations rather than having each and every hospital and other organizations works on the same issues. (That would be very wasteful.)

We can see that in this case, public evaluation of ideas can be a better way to go.

And whether you know about these things or not, you may be asked to contribute by commenting, suggesting, giving facts, offering insights and ideas,...

But again, this is Thailand! Anything is possible ;-)

Hi Sr.,

The society is slowly moving towards the direction you mentioned. It's like the way we eat pizza, we can now choose the ingredients that we like on the pizza or some places we can even participate in the process of making it. It may not taste as good as traditional pizza but it is our participation that makes it acceptable. ;)

for confirming what I think happening in our society and confirming one important 'democratic' point "our participation that makes it acceptable".

We understand that innovation is not just 'science and technology', innovation is very much 'society and culture'. Afterall innovation is supposed to serve people and society by "making lives better".
