Most vegetable seeds (sold in package) are now 'terminated' (by a toxic technology) so that they only grow well for 1 single time and will not produce viable seeds for regrowing later.
The use of terminated seeds lead to dependency on foreign companies who produce and sell terminated seeds.
Perhaps, a local seed bank can be set up and funded/maintained by collaboration of government departments, universities and local farmers. The main aim is to ensure that natural seeds for food and medicine plants are not 'terminated'. By growing from natural seeds in local areas, these plants will have greater chances to survive and to adapt to the local environment -- naturally.
