ด้วยความรู้สึกส่วนตัว เห็นว่าการศึกษาควรปรับตัวอย่างแรง เพื่อตอบคำถามของสังคม
1.สังคมต้องการคนดีมากขึ้น
2.สังคมต้องการความสุข (ความพอเพียง)
3. สังคมต้องการให้ผู้จบการศึกษากลับไปพัฒนาหมู่บ้าน โดยไปสร้างงานที่นั่น
4. สังคมต้องการให้รับรู้ความหนาวร้อนของสังคม เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสังคม นำสังคมไปในทางที่ถูกต้อง
5.สังคมต้องการนักการเมืองไม่โกง ให้มหาวิทยาลัยสร้างคนออกมาใหม่หาทางแก้ไข
อันนี้ผมขอแถม.....
6.สังคมต้องการรถไฟรางคู่ ตั้งเป็นอะไรสักอย่างที่ไม่ต้องผ่านนักการเมืองได้หรือไม่ครับบบบบบ
Thank you for sharing the thought on 'reforming Thai society'.
I think that we do need to define our indicators on 'health' and 'financial security' in 'people perspectives' that is to have indicators that people can use and understand by themselves -- not from 'periodic statistics' (which can cost to collect and be out-of-date or lagging all the time).
In your examples Indicator-1 certain diseases are counted and used (to say the less the better health). In another, (averaging amounts in) savings are used to say how much 'spare money' people have and the more the better. (Our GDP does not reflect that 80% of Thais are poor and have no savings but some 10% have billions and trillions (not in savings but in assets and investments).
My points are that these indicators are from 'top-down' view, not from the bottom-up (grassroot) view. Do people need to be told how healthy and wealthy they are? If we can live with just what we need (not what we want) and we are quite contented with produces from our land and surrounding wild environment with our diabetes and other disabilities, are we then healthy? wealthy? or what just weird?
