อันเนื่องมาจากบันทึกชื่อ แบกก้อนหินไว้อยู่ใย?...โยนมันทิ้งไปและใช้ C3THER http://gotoknow.org/blog/supalukbi/39645 ซึ่งดิฉันไม่ได้ให้ความกระจ่างของเรื่อง APGAR ซึ่งเป็นการประเมินเด็กแรกเกิดโดยการให้คะแนน ดิฉันจึงถือว่าตนเองยังบกพร่องอยู่ในบันทึกนี้จึงตามมาให้รายละเอียดเกี่ยวกับ ความหมายและการให้คะแนน APGAR Score ดังนี้

APGAR Score เป็นการประเมินสภาวะเด็กแรกเกิดใน 1 นาที แรกต่อด้วย  5 นาที และ 10 นาที ถัดมา โดยการดูเด็กจาก

A = Activity         เป็นการประเมินกล้ามเนื้อกำลังแขน และขา

P= Pulse              เป็นการประเมินชีพจร

G= Grimace         เป็นการประเมินปฏิกิริยาตอบสนองต่อการกระตุ้น

A= Appearance   เป็นการประเมินสีผิว

R = Respiration  เป็นการประเมินการหายใจ

ซึ่งมีเกณฑ์การให้คะแนนดังนี้

APGAR Scoring for Newborns

A score is given for each sign at one minute and five minutes after the birth. If there are problems with the baby an additional score is given at 10 minutes. A score of 7-10 is considered normal, while 4-7 might require some resuscitative measures, and a baby with apgars of 3 and below requires immediate resuscitation.
