Traveling in Thailand
Climbing,treking and kayaking in Krabi,Thailand
Yet another fantastic weekend has come and gone. I found myself on Friday anxious like a kid waiting for the bus to Ao nung. That night was a blur of dancing, blend, and playing on the beach. I was somehow able to crash a private resort beach and escape the gaze of a guard as I came and went from my lovely hammock sleeping spot. It was so nice to catch a long tail straight away and arrive in Railay. Set off for the 30 min jungle trek to ton sai. This trek would later involve ninja defense poses, getting stalked by a jungle cat, clapping and singing, and just about everything in between. Ton sai has a great flow vibe that I felt accustomed to right away.
We were very influenced by the amazing rain storms that hit us. In one transition I watched a white wall hit us sideways. I seeked refuge under the trees, only to witness the 30 ft tree next to me break like a twig and crash down. Despite the lovely weather I still found time to sea kayak and rock climb. It was so nice to be back on the beautiful limestone rock finding hand hold after hand hold. Sea kayaking was yet again another adventure and witness to the power of nature. After a fun run, the waves took the best of us and the harsh coral underneath won the battle overall. I have come to learn that you can tell how good of a weekend someone has by the cuts and markings on their body. I have had a blast and cannot wait for what is next.
Kayaking:)
Walking along the beach to see the beautiful sun set.
