bBlog was started as a project by Eaden McKee to see how far the Smarty templating system could go toward supporting a full fledged blogging and content management framework. From the beginning, the goal was to keep the system centered on the template concept, and make new features fit into the modular plugin framework that Smarty lays out.

While the default package is designed for the casual blogger, Serendipity offers a flexible, expandable and easy-to-use framework with the power for professional applications.

BLOG:CMS is the most complete, feature-packed, personal publishing system on the market, developed by Radek Hulán. It includes state-of-the-art weblog, forum, wiki engine, news aggregator (atom / rss), and photo gallery.

Geeklog is a PHP/MySQL based application for managing dynamic web content.
"Out of the box", it is a blog engine, or a CMS with support for comments, trackbacks, multiple syndication formats, spam protection, and all the other vital features of such a system.
