Ipswitch WS FTP Professional คือโปรแกรมสำหรับ upload / download ไฟล์ข้อมูล จากเครื่องผู้ใช้งานไปยัง Server และจากเครื่อง Server ลงมายังเครื่องผู้ใช้งาน ผู้ใช้งานสามารถเข้าไป Create / Delete / Modify ไฟล์ข้อมูลหรือ directory ที่ฝั่ง Server ได้ โดยกระบวนการทั้งหมดจะต้องผ่านระบบตรวจสอบความถูกต้อง  Login name / Password เสียก่อน ว่าถูกต้องหรือไม่ ระบบจึงจะอนุญาตให้เข้าไปใช้งาน

คุณสมบัติเด่นของโปรแกรมบางส่วน

  1. สามารถ Connect Site ได้แบบ Multiple FTP โดยโปรแกรมจะทำการจัด คิว การ transfer ตามลำดับ ก่อน-หลัง เอง

2. กรณีที่ผู้ใช้งานปิดโปรแกรมตรง  <!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]--> ไปโดยไม่มีการ Disconnect Site นั้นๆ เสียก่อน  หากผู้ใช้งาน เปิดโปรแกรมขึ้นมาอีกครั้งเมื่อไหร่ก็ตาม โปรแกรมจะทำการ auto login site ที่ท่านไม่ได้ Disconnect ไว้ล่าสุดทุก Site ขึ้นมาโดยอัตโนมัติ

วิธีการใช้งาน

ผู้ใช้งาน (Users) จะได้รับข้อมูล ชื่อล็อคอิน รหัสผ่าน จากผู้ดูแลระบบ (Administrator) ของท่าน

ต้องสร้าง Site ก่อน เริ่มใช้งานครั้งแรก

หลังจากที่ติดตั้งโปรแกรม WS FTP เรียบร้อยแล้วที่เครื่อง เราจะต้องทำการ Create Site ขึ้นก่อนในครั้งแรก ดังรูป

  1. ) ดับเบิ้ลคลิก ที่ <<Icon WS_FTP>> บน Desktop

  1. ) เข้าสู่โปรแกรม   กดปุ่ม <Connect>

  1. ) เข้าสู่หน้าต่าง Site Manager กดปุ่ม <Create Site> (การสร้าง site เป็นการสร้างเพียงครั้งเดียว จนกว่าข้อมูล user name / password จะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงเป็นอย่างอื่น )

<!--[if !supportLists]-->-          <!--[endif]-->ปุ่ม Connect สำหรับเชื่อมต่อไปยัง Server หลังจาก Site ได้ถูกสร้างขึ้นแล้วโดยการเลือกที่ site ก่อนแล้วกดปุ่ม <Connect>

<!--[if !supportLists]-->-          <!--[endif]-->ปุ่ม Edit สำหรับ แก้ไขข้อมูลบางอย่างสำหรับ Site ของท่าน อย่างเช่น User name หรือ Password สำหรับเข้าไปใช้งาน FTP

<!--[if !supportLists]-->-          <!--[endif]-->ปุ่ม Rename สำหรับ แก้ไขชื่อ site ของท่านที่เครื่องของท่านเท่านั้นเพื่อง่ายแก่การจดจำไม่มีผลกับ Server ดังภาพตัวอย่าง คือ mclub อาจจะเปลี่ยนเป็น mobile club ได้ โดยข้อมูล ล็อคอิน ยังคงเดิม

  1. ) หลังจาก กดปุ่ม <Create Site>  จะปรากฏหน้าต่างให้ท่านกำหนดข้อมูลสำหรับเข้าไปใช้งาน FTP

- ใส่ชื่อ site name ของท่าน จากนั้น กด <Next>

- ใส่ Server Address : สามารถกำหนดได้ทั้งแบบ IP Address หรือ hostname (ftp.yourdomain.com) ติดต่อขอข้อมูลกับผู้ดูแลระบบ  กด <Next>

เลือก site ที่สร้างไว้

หากข้อมูลที่ได้กำหนดไว้ถูกต้อง โปรแกรมจะสามารถเข้าไปให้ใช้งานได้ ดังรูป โปรแกรมจะแบ่งออกเป็น 2 หน้าต่าง

หรือสามารถลาก file โดยการ Drag file โดยการกด Mouse ค้างไว้ และมาปล่อย Mouse ที่หน้าต่าง Server ในทางตรงกันข้ามก็ทำเหมือนกัน ดังรูป

** ด้านล่างโปรแกรม จะเห็นกระบวนการทำงาน ว่าไฟล์ใดกำลัง transfer อยู่ หรือว่าเสร็จสิ้นแล้ว หรือการ transfer ไม่สำเร็จ เป็นต้น และหาก transfer เสร็จเรียบร้อย คิวงาน จะหายไป

จะเห็น file เกิดขึ้น ที่ด้าน Server โดย file ที่สมบูรณ์นั้นจะต้องมีขนาดไฟล์ที่เท่ากันกับด้าน ผู้ใช้งาน

เพิ่มเติมการใช้งานโปรแกรม

1. หากมีการ upload / download  file ที่มีอยู่แล้ว จากด้านใดด้านหนึ่ง หากด้านนั้นมีชื่อไฟล์นี้อยู่แล้วโดยมีขนาดไฟล์ที่เท่ากัน โปรแกรมจะถามก่อนว่าจะให้ทำอย่างไรกับ file นี้ ดังรูป

Overwrite คือ ทับไฟล์ที่มีอยู่แล้ว

Skip คือ ผ่านไฟล์นี้ไป

แต่หากมีการเลือกหลาย ๆ ไฟล์พร้อมกันหน้าต่างจะแสดงข้อความเพิ่ม

Overwirte All , Skip All  แปลว่าดำเนินการเหมือนกันทั้งหมด แต่ถ้ากด Overwrite , Skip โปรแกรมจะ check และทำตามคำสั่งทีละ file

  1. หากมีการ upload / download  file ที่มีอยู่แล้ว จากด้านใดด้านหนึ่ง หากด้านนั้นมีชื่อไฟล์นี้อยู่แล้วโดยมีขนาดไฟล์ที่ไม่เท่ากัน โปรแกรมจะถามก่อนว่าจะให้ทำอย่างไรกับ file นี้ ดังรูป

Resume คือการ transfer ต่อไฟล์เดิมที่มีอยู่แล้วให้สมบูรณ์ คือมีขนาดไฟล์ที่เท่ากันทั้ง 2 ด้าน และยังเป็นการ Overwrite ไฟล์ทับไปในตัวนั่นเอง

เช่นเดียวกันกับการเลือก หลาย ๆ ไฟล์ จะปรากฎ ปุ่มเพิ่มอีกคือ Resume All คือทำเหมือนกันทุกไฟล์
