2. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย y และหน้า y เป็นพยัญชนะ ให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น ie แล้วจึงเติม s เช่น

ข้อยกเว้น : ถ้าหน้า y เป็นสระ ไม่ต้องเปลี่ยน y เป็น ie ให้เติม s ได้เลย เช่น

มักจะมี Adverb เหล่านี้มาใช้ร่วมเสมอ ได้แก่ ever, never, once, twice, since, for, so far, up to now, up to the present time, many times, several time, over and over, already, just, yet, finally, eventually, recently.
Present Perfect Continuous Tense คือ ประโยคที่ได้พูดถึงการกระทำหรือเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นแล้ว และยังคงดำเนินสืบเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยมีนัยว่ายังไม่เสร็จสิ้น จำเป็นต้องระบุเวลาไว้ด้วย ตัวอย่างเช่น
It has been raining for two hours. (It is still raining.)
Alice has been working here since I entered the university. (She is still working here.)
โครงสร้างประโยค : Subject + verb to have +been + verb –ing
Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Verb ที่จะนำมาแต่งใน Present Perfect Continuous Tense ต้องเป็น verb ที่มีความหมายกระทำได้นาน ได้แก่ learn, stay, live, work, sit, stand, sleep, rest, read, wait, play, etc.
