I teach Japanese at Mahasarakham University. I'm a Japanese instructor.

I think there are two ways of teaching foreign language. One is a way of teaching without mother language. Another is a way of teaching with mother language. And I chose the latter. The reason is that I want students to consider about the difference between Thai and Japanese. There are several differences in grammar, pronounce, expression and mood. And making students consider the differences, I want students to have interest in Japanese background, such as culture, history and society. So I sometimes explain with Thai. I try to make students not only consider but also admire and question. Then Instructor’s work is motivating students to study. Instructor must be motivator. I think so.
