มาอีกแล้วเรียนภาษาอังกฤษจากเพลง

บันทึกนี้เขียนตามคำเรียกร้องของผู้อ่านและความชอบของตนเอง เคยบอกทุกท่านแล้วว่าดิฉันโตมาพร้อมกับเพลงภาษาอังกฤษที่คุณพ่อดิฉันเปิดให้ฟังเช้าเย็นเวลาท่านไปรับดิฉันกลับจากโรงเรียน ทำให้เพลง และภาษาอังกฤษเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตแม้จะร้องเพลงไม่เอาไหนหรือเล่นดนตรีไม่เป็นสักอย่างแต่มี music appreciation กับเขามาตลอดนะคะ

นอกจากนั้นการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษจากเพลงยังเป็นแรงจูงใจที่คงทนถาวรทำให้ไม่รู้สึกเบื่อในการเรียนเพราะแต่ละเพลงก็มีคำศัพท์และความหมายใหม่ๆ ที่น่าสนใจ เอาไปใช้ได้กับชีวิตจริง ไม่ลืมง่ายๆ เพราะเราชอบเพลง

เอาหละ วันนี้นำเสนอเพลงของนักร้องคุณภาพ หากท่านฟังเสียงของเธอดีๆ ท่านจะขนลุกเพราะมันเปี่ยมไปด้วยพลัง ทายสิคะว่าใครเอ่ยที่ร้องเพลงแล้วทำให้เรารู้สึกได้ว่ากำลังจมลงไปสู่ก้นมหาสมุทรแอตแลนติกอันหนาวเหน็บ

Céline Dion is best known as the singer of "My Heart Will Go On," the theme from Titanic. She is the youngest in a musical family from rural Quebec, Canada. With hits from Beauty and the Beast, Sleepless in Seattle and Titanic, she has had good fortune at the movies plus over 175 million albums sold during her career. She is clearly a phenomenon and has made herself a legend in her own lifetime.

a phenomenon = หากแปลตามคำแปลว่า ปรากฏการณ์ เช่นปรากฏการณ์ธรรมชาติ  natural phenomenon แต่ในประโยคนี้ความหมายไปในทางที่ว่าเธอโด่งดังมากในวงการ

a legend  = เวลาเอ่ยถึงใครบางคนแล้วใช้ประโยคว่า He/She is a legend. หมายถึง คนคนนั้นเก๋ามาก เป็นตำนาน ตันตำหรับ ทำชื่อเสียงไว้ในด้านนี้ ใครๆต่างรู้จักดีและยากที่จะหาใครเทียบได้
