Anthropic Shutdown

Due to disputes in public between Anthropic (AI company) and Pentagon (US Military) on use of AI in warfare, US president Donald Trump has issued multiple sweeping directives targeting the AI company Anthropic. This culminated in a federal government phase-out of Anthropic’s AI tools, and blocking foreign access to Anthropic’s advanced AI models.

Anthropic is the builder of Claude family of AI models [Claude Haiku 4.5, .. Sonnet 4.6, .. Opus 4.8, .. Fable 5.0], known for advanced reasoning, long-context handling, and high-safety alignment. The models are [until now publicly] accessible on Claude platform [websites] and as enterprise services like AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Foundry.

This order will hurt Anthropic IPO and Claude users around the world.
