I wonder if an ideal game with 2-opposing sides in one’s win=one’s loss situation still applies in modern games. We now have ‘social media’ battle grounds all with big numbers of audience and ‘advertisement’. Several features of social media systems allow games to be played at various levels and ‘fronts’ at the same time. There are also many non-combatant parties who benefit from (particularly) advertisement in/on the games and would manipulate the games for their own interests. Many among the audience may increase their presence by commenting the games. Some journalists may ride along the games influencing outcomes. …
‘Zero-sum’ only fits for a few dollars or simple trophies - ideal game theory!
