This sutta about how a king regarded a female child (thītā, ธีดา, ธิดา). The 2 versions are quite different.

It remains today as it was then that male child is preferred to female child. Looking at men they are powerful, they hunt and kill, while women manage everything else: home, children, meals, clothes, hygiene, … Women are true scientists, they learn what edible, how to cook, clean, care, mend, maintain,… and muster (lead from behind).
