I had learned that ‘brains’ need (120-140 grams per day of) ‘glucose’ (from carbohydrates and sugars) as fuel to work, and that lack of glucose leads to utilizing ketone (proteins, some 40 grams per day, from muscles)…

It seems that we need to balance our intake of carbohydrates and proteins –not too little, not too much, but just right - to stay healthy and bright.
