In most wars, the winners show power by taking land, valuables, women and children and sometimes skilled craftsmen. The losers if not prisoners show anguish by plundering homes, killing people and raping women and girls deemed on winners’ side. The victims are people who wish for no wars and try very hard to survive the quarrels of rulers. Most wars are not for people on either side.
