I think most “pest Control” operators use “simple attack” strategies. They use insecticides to wipe out a population at a location without considerations for the cause of infestation. To put it plainly, they kill some termites and may be the queen but they do not change the condition around the house to prevent more or new termites from coming into your home.
There are information of what essential and attractive for termites (such as water or moisture source, soft (and ferment-able) timber – termites don’t eat wood but they use it to (ferment/) make sugars that they eat, sunshade (termites dislike sunlight),… In short, we have to make our home less attractive to termites.
Growing plants with ‘turpentine’ (such as ทองอุไร พวงพะกา …) around the house can help keeping them out of the area. Trenches filled with coarse sand and metal meshes are also used as barriers.
Consider the effects of pesticides on children, pets and ‘wildlife’.
