When we were living down south (of AUS) in Canberra, we used to feed snails ‘beer’. Yes b e e r (or what left over in beer cans - mostly of a ‘bitter’ brand). They seemed to love it (and that ‘poisoned’ them). But every Spring more snails just spring up and feed on our veggie garden.

Now I am up in the Banana state and appreciate the help of snails in turning weeds to fertilizers. (You have captured their working way! ;-).

I have heard that many snail farms are feeding France (the snails) and their families (the income from selling snails) well.
