– ต้นยางมันหมู (Dipterocarpus kerrii King) หรือ เรียกว่า ยางมันใส ยางมันข้น ยางวัด ละกูวิง) เป็นไม้วงศ์ยางท้องถิ่นในภาคใต้ อยู่ในสถานะใกล้สูญพันธุ์ (Critically Endangered Species) สมควรแก่การอนุรักษ์ปลูกเพิ่มโดยชุมชนและหน่วยงานต่างๆ ยังสามารถพบได้ในป่าจังหวัดพังงา กระบี่ สุราษฎร์ธานี และในกรุงเทพฯ มีปลูกอยู่ที่บริเวณ ปลูกอยู่บริเวณสวนพฤกษศาสตร์ วงศ์ยาง ข้างพลับพลายอด สวนหลวง ร.9 กรุงเทพมหานคร.

Of course we may say – why don’t we have more people wanting to do more like this than more people wanting to ‘take’ everything for themselves. Sigh!
