I had been to a (nursing) place with ‘soft flooring’, ‘padded furniture’, ‘easy-to-operate appliances’,… ‘gentle speech’ and ‘slow gesture’ (by staff). It had an atmosphere of ‘utopia’ (by my feeling). Later I learned living there also have heavenly price that perhaps less than 0.1 % of older people can afford. I thought of economic opportunities in age care in Thailand (and other lower labor cost countries). Innovations in many areas can be developed and provided to satisfy growing demands from domestic and global ‘age’ markets.
