Ummmh. Thank you for this insight. I never thoght that these issues are concerns in medical research. I am very naive!

I have learned about Digital Signal Processing (DSP) where ‘samples’ (sampling theories) are selected/filtered to ‘specific purposes’ and sensor/measurement capabilities (and processing/analytical capabilities too). It seems that doctors are DSP engineers too ;-)
