Subject 34:

  • When you find yourself in a hole, the best thing you can do is stop digging. This is a good quote to reflect the sunk-cost trap.
  • The decision making in the meeting can be in 2 ways: advocacy and inquiry. Advocacy has a leader influence in making a decision. Inquiry has a shared and discussed opinion before the decision is made.

Subject 35:

  • Mega trends such as demographic shifts, economic shifts, climate change, technology breakthrough are changing the world we live in.
  • To be a servant leadership is to sacrifice and inspire others.
  • Morality 4.0 = Sufficiency, Discipline, Honesty, Volunteerism
  • 4H for Thai People 4.0 = Head,  Hand, Health, Heart
  • Learning 4.0 involves purposeful, generative, mindful and result-based learning. 

Subject 36:

  • Learning can be formal or informal (generative / emergent)  learning. Personal aspects are barriers to learning.
  • Learning organization is compared between Chira Way and Senge Way.
  • Chira Way of learning follows the King working principles and 4L+3L+2R+2I.
  • His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Six Steps of Working:
  • 4L = Learning MEOC (Methodology, Environment, Opportunities, Communities)
  • 3L = Learning from PEL (Pain, Experiences, Listening)
  • 2R = Reality, Relevance

Subject 37:

  • EdPEx stands for Education Criteria for Performance Excellence which has 7 categories, 17 items, 36 areas to address, 89 specific questions, and 11 core values.
  • The roadmap started from TQA (2001) to PMQA (2005), SEPA (2008) and EdPEX (2009). The performance indicators are important. They must be real and measurable.

Subject 38:

  • Government project proposal requires fitting the plan in 3 dimensions: Area, Function, and Agenda.
  • Return on Investment (ROI) is the ratio of the net operating income to the average operating assets.
  • Margin is the ratio of the net operating income to sale values.
  • Turnover is the ratio of sale values to the average operating assets. 

Subject 39:

  • Nanjing massacre was a mass murder and rape which left over 300,000 deaths.
  • Deng Xiaoping famous quote is “It doesn’t matter if a cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice”.

Subject 40:

  • Each group summarized the trip in Bangkok. The Chaipattana Foundation is an inspirational trip and it can be taken as the working model for sufficient development.
  • At the Bank of Thailand we learned that the world has changed. The challenges are disruptive technologies, aging society, learning gaps of students and so on.
  • KX is the knowledge exchange building which provides co-working space, maker's space, innovation capability building program and so on.
  • KMUTT was founded in 1960. It was the first university that went out of the government system. The quality control uses EdPEx in driving the development.
  • Unilever has been with Thai people for a long time and now the marketing strategy has evolved by using internet and digital platform to connect clients and business partners.

Subject 41:

  • Today activity is different from other days. Another side of the brain was used in learning the art of drawing picture using watercolor.
  • Drawing helps practicing mindfulness, temper control, and to plan things in advance.
