There are a few obvious side-effects of pesticides:

- pesticide sprays get wind blown to much wider unintended areas;

- pesticide residuals contaminate skins, clothing amd so on of 'sprayers' -- the residuals can harm sprayers and their family

- unintended victims like birds, bees, spiders --many friends-- are killed along with foes. It is sad that we don't care enough for our friends.

- pesticides can breakdown into smaller and more harmful molecular substances, get included in (our) cells and genes causing defects and mal-development or mal-function in bodies and genes.

One can make a long list of undesirable side-effects against "crop protection dollars". But we have issues valueing the side-effects in doallars!
