Owls offer far better bang-per-buck in agricultural pest control than pesticides, in fact seeing them should equate to seeing 'angels of life' for their presence means 'clean enough environment for hyman to live in --too--. By the way, owls are night-animals, they like eating and doing things at night -- including learning to fly (in 6-8 weeks time, the wings are well-covered with feathers). Owls are known to keep their hunting area well within a small area around their perch (where they sleep in daytime). This owl could act as a deterent to many would be burglars, breaker-ins, ...
