I have at one time defined a 'happiness index' by the quotuent of the sum of good (kusala) deeds over the sum of bad (akusala) deeds.

Because matching one good deed and one bad deed to nullify the effect of Kamma has this loop hole in logics: never the bad deeds now, we can do good to wipe them out -- later.

[Infinite happiness is when we have no bad (akusala) deed at all. ;-) ]
