A good practical thing we all can learn to do.

In the picture, some students are bare-footed (not wearing shoes).

They probably did not want their shoes to get dirty.

But as a supervising teacher, it is quite possible that

there are many 'dangerous' pathogens (eg. tetanus), thread worms and toxic substances among the materials that can cause serious illness to students.

Protective gears (boots, gloves, goggles,...) should be considered along with 'safe procedure, safe tools and safe workplace'.

Remember only composting is in your experiments; your students are not in your experiments -- they are in your care!
