Don't forget 'foreign-based industries' (that push GNP number high) that make little people slaves (of foreign companies). Thailand may have to import food from Thailand-based foreign companies in a few years time. Buying food produced in Thailand from foreign-based companies  will not taste well. But, we buy cars made in Thailand from foreign companies already!
