I agree with scout movement as a way to train and discipline responsible individuals and leaders.

Soldiering is not just about 'fighting and killing unknown enemies".

A deeper "art" of soldiering is to keep "peace" without using destructive forces.

The soldiers' show of power can be an "act of peace".

Police can keep orders and become trusted members of society.

Public servants can serve and become essential parts of society.

Teachers can open our eyes and become respected.

Monks can wake up people to facts of life and show us the way to 'reality'.

We have many 'higher' grounds to climb. Let's us imagine the view from the top -- not the fallen rocks below ;-)
