I'm very glad that this is one of the topics of public concern and needs futher discussion.
You might not know that there are many stores in different sizes (small family-owned bussinesses, franchise, mini- and medium-sized stores) on the street and the big super-markets (Lotus, Macro, etc) have been located on the outskirts of the town.
These old local shops retail goods and those big stores do a wholesale.
The situation now is that the super-market wants to invest more to compete the sales with the local shops.
There's nothing to mention about the layoff yet because this is the expanding.
Above there, we are discussing in only one respect; economy, however, we also need to discuss the change in life style and community connection as well.
