Mid Year Kindergarten Report Card
(for Z: - age 4 location *withheld)

I post a report card (in English; below) for a kindergarten child to show the development areas and the style of language used (in addressing child, parents, school, and achievements) in monitoring and review for the common goal (development of the child). This report is an example of the work and quality of child care providers. The language style is careful, informative, supportive and appeasing - no criticisms, no blames and no discrimination (no mentions of sex, color, ethnicity, religion,...).

This care provider relies on fees on parents and subsidies from governments, so it does not pay to upset parents nor governments. Though the child is addressed by Name, the report is obviously meant to be information for parents and record for government audits. Children are encouraged or persuaded to change deficient behaviors but not by  force nor scorn. Parents do have to 'read between the lines' to understand the situations and progress of their child. (There is a process of consultation with respective parents for exceptional events. It is understood that a log or journal entry of such process is made and kept for some years for government audits).

I have not learn enough about 'productivity' in childcare to comment on business models, best practices, costs and benefits, and so on. Productivity would suggest the time and the duration, the appropriate fees and subsidies, the investment in attracting 'childcare workers', and regulatory procedures for providers. Parents would have time and duration of their preference, affordability, well-being and safety of their children to consider. Suffice to say that childcare is a delicate matter and require great care to provide in business environment.

Note. The identity protection is still upheld. We can learn and achieve without harm and hurt to the example we learn from ;-)

Developing children has a lot in common with cooking. There are ingredients, equipment, methods, testing/tasting and judgments involved. ;-)
