การปรับเปลี่ยน พัฒนา ปฏิรูป การศึกษาไทย: บันทึก
I woke up early this morning and scanned through Thai newspapers on the Net. I found this
กทม.คุยสภาปฏิรูปการศึกษา ชัชชาติ เห็นด้วย พัฒนาหลักสูตร ‘อิงประสบการณ์’ [มติชน].
I recalled recently expressing my ignorance about ‘work’ (projects and organizations) on Thai education systems in a Gotoknow.org blog. I think we all want to understand the current situation, the past and the future of Thai education. I also look aside at informal education trending in our society.
Why? The future of our children is at stake here.
I spent time search the Net to get a bigger picture (see below) so that I can offer ‘my view’ later. This is a work in progress --shown to share what data I see now. So stay tuned and follow me ;-)
[Updated 25/9/2565: the rationale for selection of online data sources:
0) online accessible - so everyone can verify the data;
1) seemingly reliable websites - with .go[v], .ed[v], .or[g] and well-known .com and .net;
3) representative of views (of people/interests) - students, parents, teachers, schools, education academic, education/concerned NGO's, foundations, institutes, committee,etc. ;
4) ‘strength’ of publicity operations - as indicators for ‘commitment to the cause’, funding and resources, and ‘prominent position - poorly publicized and/or ‘old’ ’media releases' will rate poorly; more frequent and/or ‘recent’ media release will rate high; good funding sources and reputable/known expert members will rate high;
5) ‘shortlisting’ will apply before a (model) ‘relationship diagram/network’ is drawn and strength of relations applied – but certain data source or information may be admitted later to clarify ‘the model’.
There is a balancing of two divert concerns one is of optimization (to achieve results in the best manner) and another is of catalyst effects (where [very]small but important agents are not excluded by principal component analysis). Catalysts if discovered and used can enhance processes and/or results.

Kids go to school when they feel they belong there. The more parents get involved with their kids and their children's schools, the more likely children are to feel that their school is a place they belong.
(my comment:- I am searching for data sources that will show us what Thai parents and Thai children want from education. Their wishes and views are very important as the wishes and views of various departments of the Ministry of Education, teachers, schools, and certain organizations. The reforms in the past seemed to be ‘push down’ recipes through a control structure without ‘market analysis’, ‘product design’, and ‘production evolution’ - that is little considerations for children and parents. )
