การเมือง เรื่องน่าสงสัย

I read today a ‘political’ commentary in a newspaper [ไล่ประยุทธ์แค่เป้าลวง]<https://www.thaipost.net/main/detail/115840> and wondered about the future of Thailand. The political system of Thailand costs Thai Taxpayers tens of billions Baht a year. What do we get in return? Is it a good investment? 

Though the same question can be asked on education system, public services system, and transport system and so on, it seems more urgent to ask for reform of “politicians and political system”. Because the political system (and politicians) today seems the more destructive and far more disruptive than the pandemic COVID-19.

I looked at the Royal Institute Dictionary (2542 Th-Th) --later version is available free for mobile phones and tablets. 

การเมือง น. (๑) งานที่เกี่ยวกับรัฐหรือแผ่นดิน เช่น วิชาการเมือง ได้แก่วิชาว่าด้วยรัฐ การจัดส่วนแห่งรัฐ และการดำเนินการแห่งรัฐ. (๒) การบริหารประเทศเฉพาะที่เกี่ยวกับนโยบายในการบริหารประเทศ เช่น การเมืองระหว่างประเทศ ได้แก่การดำเนินนโยบายระหว่างประเทศ. I think our understanding of (the word) การเมือง is  ว. มีเงื่อนงำ, มีการกระทำอันมีเจตนาอื่นแอบแฝงอยู่

or more like Lasswell's ให้ได้มาซึ่งอำนาจและการนำอำนาจไปใช้ ซึ่งหมายถึง ความสามารถที่จะบังคับให้ผู้อื่นกระทำตามสิ่งที่ตนตั้งใจ

What happens to the definition (๑) งานที่เกี่ยวกับรัฐหรือแผ่นดิน เช่น วิชาการเมือง ได้แก่วิชาว่าด้วยรัฐ การจัดส่วนแห่งรัฐ และการดำเนินการแห่งรัฐ. (๒) การบริหารประเทศเฉพาะที่เกี่ยวกับนโยบายในการบริหารประเทศ เช่น การเมืองระหว่างประเทศ ได้แก่การดำเนินนโยบายระหว่างประเทศ. (๓) กิจการอำนวยหรือควบคุมการบริหารราชการแผ่นดิน เช่น ตำแหน่งการเมือง ได้แก่ตำแหน่งซึ่งมีหน้าที่อำนวย (คณะรัฐมนตรี) หรือควบคุม (สภาผู้แทนราษฎร) การบริหารแผ่นดิน? I do not know. Perhaps we can think about this and some of us may want to offer explanations and/or solutions.

We know การเมือง is no doubt a Dukkha and can be resolved Buddhistically (with the 4 ariyasacca). We also wish that Thais will benefit from this resolution --that is “getting return for their tax money”.
