บ้าแน่ๆ ถ้า..โลกนี้ไม่มีต้นไม้.....

I am reading a book “The Forest Unseen “ by David G Haskell (borrowed from the town library). It is quite a poetic and factual book about lives (including the writer’s) in a forest. I got the suggestion from a website

สวัสดีค่ะคุณ sr..กับ คำว่า..แก..จะบ้า ..หรือบ้าๆทำนองนั้น ..ตอน ไปสอน ศิลปะอยู่มหาวิทยาลัยใน บราวชวัยก์..เคยถาม Prof.ว่า ตัวเองนี่บ้ามั้ย..ตะแกตอบว่า..ที่เห็นเดินๆอยู่ในโลกนี้ น่ะ..บ้ากว่า..เยอะ..แก..ไม่ต้องตกอกตกใจ…ไปว่าแล้ว ก็คิดว่า จะเปลี่ยนตนเป็นเทวดา รักษ์ “ต้นไม้”..ตามฝัน..ต่อไป…คุณ sr.มาเป็นเทวดา..เทพารักษ์..กันด้วยได้มั้ย หายากมาก..ใน..โกทูโน…หลาน”ต้นไม้”..โตรึยัง น้อ…..
I have to decline this “คุณ sr. มาเป็นเทวดา..เทพารักษ์..กันด้วยได้มั้ย” for 2 reasons. The first is my own limitations from where I live, what I can do, and for how long. The second is from a lesson I learned many moons ago that ‘we humans are so full of “good ideas”, we tend to act on our own ideas for our own reasons and for the sake of our own “atta”. (This shows up in examples like : governments ban grazing animals in parks and places – and so prevent migration and development of micro-organisms; protection of certain species can lead to increase in number, decrease in fitness and obscuring “normal” way of life all in the same ecology.)
I see the need to tell stories ‘in a more truthful aim’ to ask people to inquire and learn the ‘reality’ of lives then act in more compassionate ways - without a label to divide “us and them” (black and white, …). We are in it together!
