ไม่อาจใช้ “depend” เป็น คุณศัพท์

อย่าใช้ว่า “someone or something ‘is depend on’ another person or thing.”

ให้ใช้ว่า “they are dependent on that person or thing.” เช่น

         ‘The local economy is dependent on oil and gas extraction.’

คุณใช้ “depending on” เพื่อกล่าวว่า

    “บางสิ่ง เปลี่ยนแปลง” เนื่องจากเหตุการณ์เฉพาะอย่างหนึ่ง เช่น

        ‘There are, depending on the individual, a lot of different approaches.’

       ‘They cost $20 or $30 depending on the size.’

บางครั้ง ผู้คนตอบคำถาม ด้วยการกล่าวว่า
