อธิบาย การใช้ “deal” “a great deal” และ “a good deal” ว่า

สำนวน “a great deal” และ “a good deal” ของบางสิ่ง หมายถึง

        “จำนวนที่มากอย่างยิ่ง ของสิ่งนั้น”

โดยที่ทั่วไป นิยม “a great deal” มากกว่า เช่น

           ‘There was a great deal of concern about energy shortage.

           ‘She drank a good deal of coffee with him in his office.’

ข้อควรระวัง

    สามารถใช้ สำนวนเหล่านี้ ได้แต่เพียงกับ นาม ชนิด นับไม่ได้

    สามารถใช้ “a great deal of money.”

     แต่ไม่ใช้กับ “a great deal of apples.”

“ถ้าคุณทำ “’a great deal’ หรือ ‘a good deal’ ของ บางสิ่ง” หมายถึง

    “คุณใช้เวลานาน ในการทำสิ่งนั้น” เช่น
