ต้นโอ๊คกับต้นอ้อThe Oak and The Reeds

ณ ริมบึงน้ำแห่งหนึ่ง มีต้นโอ๊คต้นใหญ่ขึ้นอยู่ริมฝั่ง และมีต้นอ้อขึ้นอยู่ริมน้ำ เมื่อลมพัดมา ต้นอ้อก็ไหวเอนไปตามลม ต้นโอ๊คเห็นเช่นนั้นจึงพูดขึ้นว่า "แค่ลมพัดเบาๆ เจ้าก็โอนเอนเสียแล้ว ช่างไม่มีความกล้าหาญเอาเสียเลย ไม่เหมือนข้า ตั้งตรงไม่หวั่นไหวต่ออะไรทั้งนั้น"
ในคืนนั้นเอง ก็เกิดพายุพัดรุนแรงมาก ต้นโอ๊คพยายามยืนต้านพายุแต่ก็ต้านไม่ไหว จึงหักโค่นลง ส่วนต้นอ้อนั้นเอนลู่ตามแรงพายุ และเมื่อพายุผ่านไป ต้นอ้อก็กลับชูใบขึ้นเช่นเดิม
เรื่องนี้สอนให้รู้ว่า : โอนอ่อนตามสถานการณ์ ดีกว่าก้าวร้าวจนเกิดอันตราย
