ถ้าคุณ เคลื่อนที่ หรือ มอง “along” บางสิ่ง ที่ “ยาวและแคบ”
เช่น “ถนน” หรือ “แม่น้ำ” หรือ “เฉลียง” หมายถึง
คุณ เคลื่อนที่ หรือ มอง “ไปสู่ส่วนปลาย” ของสิ่งนั้น
‘Tim walked along the street.’
‘He led me along a corridor.’
ถ้าบางสิ่ง “ตั้งอยู่” ‘along’ บางสิ่ง ที่ “ยาวและแคบ”
เช่น “ถนน” หรือ “แม่น้ำ” หรือ “เฉลียง” หมายถึง
“สิ่งนั้น ตั้งอยู่ ในนั้น หรือ ที่ด้านข้าง”
‘There are trees all along the river.’

อย่าใช้ “along” เพื่อกล่าวถึง
