This news reminds me a movie "Elephant" or "ช้าง". This Thai movies, if I remember correctly, talks about a way of life of Thai people and the forest around them. Basically forest provides every things they need. They build a house, village by cutting down the trees, hurt for meat, collect plant for medicines, etc. But at the end, a clan of elephant come and destroy every thing in the village. I remember this seen because I was wonder how did they film it.

Then the camera pans over the village into a big green forest, and the narrator says some thing like "nothing one can stop the power of the forest!".

Well ... I am sure that it was true. But for now, nothing can stop us!

With this photo of the park around Mt Taranaki, I am now wondering what have we done with our planet, our forest, and ourself! ... may be the only thing that will stop us ... it's ourself.
